PHIMED Technologies (U.S.) On Track for Record Growth

Larger Client Base Requires Expanded Corporate Office and Support Staff

Against a backdrop of increased compliance and decreased labor availability, more medical practices and billing businesses are turning to technology to help relieve some of the complexity. That bodes well for PHIMED Technologies (PHIMED), a leading software developer for medical billing and patient engagement systems. While the company has experienced year-over-year growth since opening its doors in 2006, the more recent trend line is increasing significantly.

“Growth for the sake of numbers is not what we’re about,” says Hal Fulgham, President and CEO. “Growth due to increased client partnerships, a sterling reputation, and valuable service is what we hold dear. Our team has really excelled during this period. I’m very proud of everyone’s effort in exceeding a growing number of customer expectations.”

The company that was established with a mission to deliver workflow enhancement technology and innovative practice management solutions was also created with the guiding principles of creating long-lasting, beneficial partnerships with clients and measuring our success by the success of our clients. PHIMED (formerly PHI Medical Office Solutions) began with Hal and Babu Cherian, EVP and CTO, working together at a kitchen table, growing into a folding table and four chairs, and never hitting the pause button.

PHIMED currently occupies six offices, a large collaborative work area for Client Services, Compliance, IT and Product Life Cycle, two training rooms, a boardroom, and a break room. Solutions technology is designed and developed in both the U.S. and abroad to ensure an agile development, testing, and product enhancement workflow. PHIMED’s original team of two has now grown to over 40.

PHIMED’s growth necessitates another expansion of its current U.S. headquarters. As a result, PHIMED will essentially double its office space, collaborative work area, and conference/training rooms.

“We are always happy to host clients and provide tours to User Meeting attendees,” continues Hal. “We hope you will all have an opportunity to visit our newly remodeled Kansas offices sometime in the future.”
